osteria francescana sunday's groceryIf you're looking to eat at the best restaurant in the world, then you'll have to fly to Italy: Osteria Francescana was just named the top restaurant in the world last week at the New York ceremony. Headed by Chef Massimo Bottura, the restaurant in Modena is known for their unconventional take on Italian food with dishes such as 'five stages of Parmigiano Reggiano' and 'eel swimming up the Po river'.Second place was taken by Spain's El Celler de Can Roca, which was knocked down from last year, and third by our friends, Will Guidara and Daniel Humm of Eleven Madison Park.Copenhagen's Noma fell from third to fifth this year, and Tokyo's Narisawa, number two on Asia's 2016 Best Restaurants list, was eighth. Our friends at Amber Hong Kong made the list at number 20.The rankings for the World's 50 Best Restaurants list has been widely criticized for its lack of female-run restaurants and bias towards expensive European tasting menus. It has also been looked down upon for its lenient attitude towards free meals. Despite this, it still holds the reputation of being the 'Oscars' of fine dining, with next year's ceremony to be held in Melbourne, Australia.See the full list of restaurants over at CNN hereLove restaurants?
