The UK's First Sake Brewery Has Been Approved

dojima-sake-ukWhile sake has long been perceived as an exclusively Japanese drink, this fermented rice beverage is rapidly becoming an international sensation. Not only is sake being consumed all over the world these days, but breweries are starting to spring up in North America, Europe, Australia, and other parts of Asia. The first UK sake brewery, Dojima Sake Brewery, has just been approved and is set to start production in October of next year.While the UK's first sake brewery is located at Fordham Abbey Estate, Dojima has roots in the town of Tonda in Osaka, Japan.
